Administrator Statement
Before enrolling, it’s important to determine if California Christian Academy, PSP, fits your family’s needs. Please review this statement to understand what CCA does and doesn’t provide.
In California Christian Academy, PSP, families are independent, selecting and purchasing their own curriculum, planning their schedules, and creating their homeschool routines. Families are responsible for tracking daily attendance and submitting a course of study for each child annually, as required by California state law. Aside from occasional email inquiries, I do not get involved in daily school routines. You can find an example of a homeschool day here and helpful information for parents of high schoolers on this page. If interested, you can also read about my personal experience homeschooling high schoolers in the early 2000s. (see middle of page)
As the Administrator, I maintain a cumulative file with your annual paperwork, request previous school records, and transfer records when your family leaves. I file the California State affidavit in October and submit necessary health reports to the Department of Health. Both filings are anonymous, with only my name included.
I also oversee the printing and mailing of optional items (not required) parents may decide to purchase such as:
-
4 categories of Annual Transcripts: they a GPA calculated and printed on professional paper
-
K-6th Report Cards: parents fill in, administrator pre-signs the back side promotional area
-
Diplomas: Kindergarten, Junior High and High School
-
Student and Faculty ID cards
