Welcome!

The Administrator's Family In the early ’90s, our family homeschooled with almost no supplies and very little support. Today, it’s far easier and much more accessible. (And yes—my now‑grown kids have forgiven me for those shirts.)

PRIVATE HOMESCHOOLING: California Christian Academy is a statewide private school satellite program (PSP) for families who choose to homeschool. A PSP—unlike a public charter—gives parents full freedom to select curriculum and shape learning around their family’s values. Parents cover the cost of materials and manage their daily teaching schedule.

The administrator provides guidance, but your approach to homeschooling with your chosen curriculum is entirely your own. The website includes helpful resources, such as the CA Teaching Guide, which outlines public school standards. Most mainstream curriculum providers exceed these standards, as shown in the list linked on the site.

PUBLIC SCHOOL CHARTER: The CCA administrator also considers public school charters a great choice for families seeking independent study options with more oversight from credentialed teachers. Charters provide free books and materials at no cost to parents. If you feel you need more supervision, a public school charter might be a better fit. You can use the public school charter locator for more information.
