Welcome!
The Administrator's Family around 1993 was fully immersed in homeschooling, managing with very few supplies and limited support. Today, homeschooling has become much simpler and more accessible. (And yes, my children, now in their 30s and 40s, have forgiven me for the shirts.)

PRIVATE HOMESCHOOLING: California Christian Academy is a state-wide private school satellite program (PSP) designed for parents who choose to homeschool their children. CCA supports homeschooling as an excellent option for parents who want more involvement in their child's education. Opting for a PSP instead of a Public School Charter (details below) gives parents significant freedom to choose curriculum and align their child's values with the family's worldview. Parents are responsible for the cost of books, materials, and creating daily teaching schedules for their family.
The administrator serves as a guide, but how you approach homeschooling with the purchased curriculum (which includes an example of a reputable company I represent) is up to you. is entirely up to you. The website offers various resources, including a CA Teaching Guide, which outlines public school standards. Most mainstream curriculum providers exceed California standards—see the list in the upper left corner of the provided link.
PUBLIC SCHOOL CHARTER: The CCA administrator also considers public school charters a great choice for families seeking independent study options with more oversight from credentialed teachers. Charters provide free books and materials at no cost to parents. If you feel you need more supervision, a public school charter might be a better fit. You can use the public school charter locator for more information.
WHAT WE DO:
- File the California annual affidavit
- Submit the required annual health report (see vaccine note* below)
- *VACCINE NOTE: Since we do not operate on a campus, families who do not vaccinate or follow a delayed vaccination schedule are welcome in our school.
- Maintain and store all required records
- Safeguard cumulative files
- Request records from prior schools
- Offer additional printing services (for an extra fee), such as Kindergarten, 9th Grade and 12th Grade diplomas, grade tracking, and school/faculty ID cards

WHAT WE DON'T DO:
CCA is unaccredited. Most PSPs are unaccredited because accreditation involves extensive qualifying procedures and significant costs. If you would like more information about this, please see this article.
CCA does not provide extracurricular activities for students. WE DO NOT GATHER TOGETHER.
CCA is a non-campus school and serves as a private school satellite program for California homeschool families.
CCA does not host park days or organized field trips but offers ideas for activities.

CCA does not provide instruction for your children, so parents need to become familiar with teaching manuals and manage their children's daily education. Most mainstream companies offer excellent teaching guides! One company the Administrator represents is Alpha Omega Publishers.
CCA does not supply curriculum as part of enrollment. Parents are responsible for selecting appropriate materials. Through email only—no phone calls—CCA can assist by guiding parents to excellent resources, such as those listed on this page. The administrator can initially assist with your high school student's course of study through email. See many helps here for high school.
CCA does not hold teacher meetings. The administrator will answer your questions through email.
